PIERCINGS
Body Piercings
"After I started doing fine line tattoos and medical tattoos, I decided I wanted to add on another service that really goes hand in hand with what we already do! We are so excited to use our skills and our sterilization tools and techniques to ensure the safest piercing experience possible!"
We only carry and stock high quality implant grade titanium and gold, that means we do not accept outside jewelry.
We also only use catheter hollow needles to ensure for smoother insertion and less tissue damage compared to traditional sharp needles. The needle does not remove tissue, instead opens space in the skin to allow room for the jewelry to sit in. This technique can reduce some of the bleeding and bruising during the piercing process and promote faster healing time.

Downsizing
Downsizing is when we switch your longer post out for a shorter post. When you initially get pierced, we use a longer post to allow room for swelling depending on your anatomy. After 6-8 weeks from your procedure, your swelling should subside and you are ready to downsize. After you are completely healed we want you to feel comfortable and this will also help minimize snagging onto clothes and causing trauma.
Not all piercing needs to be downsized to a shorter post. Most of the times the piercings will need to downsize around 6-8 weeks except for some cases most of the time daith, rooks, septum and naval piercings does not typically need to be downsized but are the longest healing time up to 9-12 months.

Allergies & Infection
ALLERGIES
Piercing allergies occur when the body reacts to a substance in the piercing jewelry, such as nickel or other metals as if it were a harmful invader.
Symptoms of piercing allergies can range from mild to severe and may include redness, swelling, itching, or a rash around the piercing site. In more severe cases, an individual may experience blistering, cracking or bleeding of the skin. These symptoms may appear immediately after the piercing or they may develop over time.
THIS IS WHY WE ONLY CHOOSE TO CHOOSE HIGH-QUALITY JEWELRY MADE FROM HYPOALLERGENIC MATERIALS SUCH AS IMPLANT-GRADE TITANIUM and GOLD!
It is normal for the piercing to be red and tender for the first few days. Some plasma is normal during the process of healing and the skin is getting rid of dead skin and generating for new cells.
Some signs of infections are: redness, swelling, hardness of the piercing area, hot sensation of the area, yellow or green discharge of the area
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns!

WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET AN INFECTION?
-
Clean the area: Clean the area around the piercing with saline solution. Be gentle and avoid using any harsh chemicals or rubbing the area too vigorously.
-
AVOID irritating the area: You should avoid touching or playing with the piercing.
Rejection can happen if the aftercare product is too harsh, following poor health habits, or excessive physical trauma or emotional stress during the healing process.
Unfortunately, sometimes even when every precaution was taken the body could still migrate or reject the piercing entirely for no reason at all. This is a side effect of putting a foreign object through the skin.
WHAT TO DO IF MY BODY IS REJECTING THE JEWELRY?
Here are some steps you can take:
-
Remove the jewelry: If the piercing is migrating or rejecting, the first step is to remove the jewelry. This will prevent further irritation and allow the piercing to heal.
-
Clean the area: Clean the area around the piercing with saline solution. Be gentle and avoid using any harsh chemicals or rubbing the area too vigorously.
-
Apply a warm compress: Applying a warm compress can help reduce inflammation and soothe the area. Make sure the compress is not too hot and do not apply pressure directly to the piercing.
-
Avoid irritating the area: You should avoid touching or playing with the piercing area and avoid wearing tight or restrictive clothing that may rub against the area.
-
Wait before attempting to re-pierce: It is important to allow the area to fully heal before attempting to re-pierce. This may take several months or longer, depending on the severity of the migration or rejection.
